The University of Zakho has recently launched CCNA courses, which are certified by CISCO Networking Academy. Cisco academy has designed an entire course curriculum offering a comprehensive list of courses. Cisco academy centers work in 150 countries with a curriculum taught in nine different languages. UOZ Cisco academy is considered as the second center of Cisco academy in Badinan province. Most of the students participate in academies operating in high schools, colleges and universities, technical schools, community-based organizations, and other educational programs around the world. The networking academy program blends face-to-face teaching with web-based curriculum, hands-on lab exercises, and Internet-based assessment. Students and employees can learn the materials required for CCNA levels and very soon, IT-Essential level will be taught as well.
Trainings are offered three times a week as listed below:
•Sunday 10:00 – 12:00(morning), 16:00 – 18:00(evening)
•Tuesday 10:00 – 12:00(morning), 16:00 – 18:00(evening)
•Thursday10:00 – 12:00(morning), 16:00 – 18:00(evening)
UOZ Cisco center is located in UOZ presidency building, in the computer hall, 3rd floor. The course is taught by Cisco Certified Academy Instructors (CCAI) using at first Packet Tracer, a Cisco configuration and emulation learning software. Then, students will be taught on actual Cisco hardware.
